I have always thought photos make a great Christmas gift, especially for those people who are so hard to shop for.  Who wouldn't love to receive photos of the people they love?  Plus, how amazing is it to look back at those photos and see how much the kids have grown!  Then again, perhaps it is a time to look at old photos and remember those that are not with us.  No matter what, this is a way of bringing the family closer and celebrating the ties that you don't always have time to appreciate.

So every year I try to get a family picture of my family but taking a photo where the photographer is in the photo is so hard!  I can't make the adjustments I normally make for other people so I usually set everything up for my father-in-law and tell him, "Just keep pushing the button!" in hopes of getting a few good shots to work with.  In the end I love these photos because I love to see how the similarities and differences of my kids.

Meanwhile, I keep shooting whether is it my family or your.  Happy Holidays!

Ryan & Liz

I think this was my most interesting wedding yet.  The bride was beautiful and the groom handsome but the girls ran late getting ready, the bridal couple forgot to come back for pictures after the wedding, and the bride got birdseed stuck in her ear which called for a quick trip to the ER.  Overall, it was beautiful, fun and quite a comedy.  Still, there were some wonderful moments with all the love and romance you could imagine.  I don't know if I have ever seen a groom so happy to be getting married.  It is what any woman would want to see and hear on her wedding day.  Of course being able to drive off in a bright red Viper isn't so bad either.  All the best to Liz and Ryan.

Chris & Alicia

This beautiful wedding had a perfect day to celebrate this wonderful event.  The bride was stunning in a Maggie Sottero gown and the groom was handsome and relaxed.  Couldn't ask for a better couple.  The reception took place at the Baker Street Train Station.  This great historic building makes an awesome location for events and parties.  I just loved it all!  We even had a chance to get some pictures at Lakeside Park Rose Gardens.  I couldn't have planned it better.  Romance, fun, joy, excitement...does it get any better?  I just love my job!

Vancouver Vacation

This summer my husband and I decided to go to Vancouver for vacation.  Neither of us had ever been to the pacific northwest so we figured we should try something new.  It was wonderful, we had great weather and the city is a beautiful mix of culture and nature.  I don't think I have ever heard so many different languages in one place before.  There is so much to do for both city lovers and nature lovers.  It is great to have everything so close by whether it is hiking, kayaking, bike riding, roller blading, listening to music, theatre, and anything else you can think of.  I would love to go back again and get around to seeing some of the things I missed.  Definitely need to go for a week or so.  So here are just of a few of the many pictures that I took while we were there.  Sorry, no movie stars...

Alicia Glick - Bridal Portraits - Grand Wayne Center, Fort Wayne

Alicia will be getting married this weekend but she was happy to take the time to do some bridal portraits when she came into town for her fitting.  Her beautiful dress is by Maggie Sottero and she is going to be a beautiful bride as seen from these photographs.  Of course the Grand Wayne Center provides some beautiful locations as well and the overall feel is spectacular.  Hoping the weather holds because I am really looking forward to some outdoor photos with both bride and groom this weekend.

Liz & Ryan's Engagment Pictures - Warren Dunes State Park

Liz and Ryan love the beach and could think of no better place to have some engagement pictures done.  Unfortunately, Indiana and Michigan have been having a lot of rain this year but we have prevailed.  We headed out to Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan and got lucky with some beautiful weather right until the end of our session before it started to pour.  It was amazing to watch that storm come in though and the beautiful rainbow that appeared after it was over was stunning and a fun day out.
